Our Mission
Cornerstone of Wellness is a referral and placement resource connecting people across Los Angeles with licensed inpatient addiction treatment programs. When you call, placement advisors verify your insurance benefits, assess your situation, and match you with programs equipped to treat your specific needs. We do not operate a treatment facility. We are not a healthcare provider. We are a resource — transparent about what we do, built to make a hard process easier.
How Placement Works
The process is built around three steps:
- Caller assessment. When you call (213) 436-1435, a placement advisor will ask about your situation — what you are using, how long, any prior treatment, and any medical or mental health history you want to share.
- Insurance verification. With your member ID, we verify your PPO or HMO benefits for inpatient addiction treatment directly with your insurer. This is free and carries no obligation.
- Program match and warm handoff. Based on your clinical and insurance picture, the placement advisor recommends licensed inpatient programs in our network and connects you to the admissions team at the matched program.
Calls are answered by placement advisors, not clinicians. We are transparent about this — it's important you know exactly who you're speaking with and what we can and cannot do. Clinical assessment happens at the program itself.
